Department: RIM Research Location: London Contract Type: 6 month fixed term contract The Role
Responsible for providing operational and administrative support to Research teams and investment committees. This includes but is not limited to the preparation of papers and production of minutes for various investment committees, internal meetings arrangement, review and updating of procedures and training materials, assistance with the organisation of company meetings and corporate access to support the investment research process and the undertaking of other administrative and project-related tasks to support Research and the wider company. Outcomes of the Role
Provide secretarial/PA support for several investment committees and perform various other committee-related responsibilities work, including minute taking, recording and following up on action points, agenda and meeting papers creation and scheduling of meetings. Perform diary management for research teams as needed. Prepare and submit expenses and purchase orders. Assist with travel and accommodation bookings for research team members. Assist with the testing of new MS applications and other systems as required. Help the wider Research Administration team in managing the supply of and demand for external company meetings and contribute in contacting investor relations teams to organise said meetings proactively. Develop a structured approach to external meeting organisation to reflect changing organisational and regulatory requirements. Support with the carrying out of general operational activities and provide cover when required. Provide suggestions to improve operational and administrative procedures, helping to make them more streamlined and efficient. Contribute towards the continuing development of the Research department and wider business by participating in new projects and initiatives as requested. Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Demonstrable experience working in a similar role in Financial Services, the Investment or Wealth Management industry. Minute-taking experience and proficient ability essential. Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office suite of applications. Excellent time management and ability to complete duties in a methodical and precise manner, reprioritising tasks if needed and fulfilling them in an efficient and timely way. Experience of working in a busy, deadline driven environment. Ability to plan, prioritise and structure workflow. Ability to take initiative, problem solve effectively and work autonomously. Quickly learn and articulate understanding of our investment process, and the products and services Rathbones provide. Demonstrable understanding of the regulatory environment in which we operate. Experience in establishing and maintaining constructive working relationships. Demonstrable interest in ESG and responsible investment themes an advantage. Life at Rathbones
