£32,000 As part of the AXA Group, Taking Care provides around-the-clock TEC services to over 120,000 people throughout the UK. We are passionate about the instrumental role that TEC plays in allowing individuals to live independently in their homes for longer. At the heart of Taking Care are our Emergency Resolution Centres (ERCs). We also deliver our service in partnership with several local authorities and housing associations. What we are looking for in our Research and Business Development Executive: Helping us understand our corporate customer marketplace and learning as much about industry contracts and developments as possible by generating leads and enquiries for the Business Development Managers. You will be instrumental in driving our business pipeline forward and supporting the Business Development team and Bid Manager with opportunities to provide our Technology Enabled Care services to the wider market. Develop and execute strategies to generate qualified leads and drive sales growth within the housing and care sectors. The Business Development Executive will have the following responsibilities: Via outbound calls and emails, you will be reaching out to prospective clients to generate leads and establish initial contact. Develop a pipeline of information for use by the Business Development Team. Whilst building up your pipeline, this can involve cold calls, so resilience and a can-do attitude is key! Source, co-ordinate and maintain adequate information on the marketplace. Identify and target potential business opportunities, qualifying leads based on their potential value and fit with our offerings. Schedule meetings to pass forward to Business Development Managers. Organisation is key, as it's down to you to build and maintain your own robust pipeline of prospects, ensuring regular follow-ups and updates in the CRM system. Work closely with the BDMs to align strategies, share insights, and refine sales approaches. Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify new opportunities and enhance your sales tactics. Provide regular reports on your lead generation activities, appointment setting, and sales performance to management. Ensure appropriate logging of information and research records are kept updated. Instigate collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders. Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of the various lead generation tools, platforms, and frameworks we use (including for example HubSpot, Contracts Advance, FOI requests). Support the Senior Bid Manager with any tender opportunities as required including assisting with portal management, RFIs, SQs, ITTS, proposals, and content writing. Development and Training of our staff is really important to us; however, we will need the following core skills and experience to be able to fulfil the role of Research & Business Development Executive: The ability to work towards KPIs and targets. Excellent organisation and time management skills - managing calendars, CRM systems, email, etc. Clear verbal communication skills. Fact-finding skills to research clients' needs. Superb English including writing, grammar, spelling, and vocabulary. A resilient and driven attitude is essential to this role, as cold calling and lead generation is a daily activity and your success will always depend on your drive! A confident ability to build rapport and create strong professional relationships. Strong negotiation and objection handling abilities, with the adaptability of working independently but also collaboratively within a wider team environment. Previous outbound B2B or lead generation experience preferred. Able to maintain data and reports on KPIs. Substantial experience using MS Office including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project, Visio. You will be expected to interact within these areas for the business: Local Authorities Housing Associations All internal functions for bid writing purposes including Marketing and Business Development Team.
