Research and Development Co-ordinator
based at
University Hospital Crosshouse . What you will do: You will be a well-motivated individual, working as part of the Research Governance Team within the wider Research Development and Innovation Team. You will be a core member of the Research Governance (RG) Team with a specific remit to facilitate clinical research trials in line with the RDI Strategy and the Chief Scientist Office (CSO) recognised priority areas. You will facilitate activity which is compliant with the statutory legislation and the standards required to meet the UK Policy Framework for Health and Social Care Research 2017. You will be required to make decisions on a daily basis using your own initiative, skills and knowledge regarding workload, project timescales and research legislation. Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job: Educated to Degree level or equivalent specialised research/evaluation administration experience and knowledge. Knowledge of statutory requirements in relation to Health & Safety, Data Protection and Freedom of Information. Knowledge of the Research Legislation. Experience of working in a healthcare environment. Understanding of the research processes. Excellent communication, negotiating and interpersonal skills. Ability to work on own initiative within predefined parameters. Ability to work within teams and independently. Excellent time management skills with the ability to deliver to tight deadlines. Should have excellent IT skills. Hours:
37 hours per week. Driving Licence/Car Ownership: A car licence/car ownership is essential to this role. You will be based at University Hospital Crosshouse but will work across the organisation supporting the team and multi-disciplinary healthcare providers.
