An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust's Research and Innovation Department as a Research & Innovation Officer on a Full Time Band 7 1-year fixed term or secondment basis. The post-holder will be responsible for supporting the development, delivery, coordination and conduct of current Research & Innovation within the Trust.

Main duties of the job
The post-holder will need to be a registered Paramedic with an interest in research & innovation and will be required to liaise with the Head of Research & Innovation, Trial Chief Investigators (CI), study co-ordination teams, clinicians, leaders and staff within the Trust. They will also be required to liaise with other healthcare professionals external to the Trust to gain the required data for studies.
Job responsibilities
The post holder will support the development, delivery, coordination and conduct of current research and innovation within the Trust and will be responsible for collaborating on, identifying and developing opportunities for research and innovation across Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust and our stakeholder partners. They will help align and strengthen the approach to research and innovation development and delivery in WAST and across the health and care system.
The role will give the post-holder an opportunity to gain experience in research, innovation and clinical data management, together with a range of leadership skills. These skills may be used on other Trials and studies within the Trust.
