We are looking for a full-time Research Assistant to conduct research as part of the lab of Dr. Helen Stolp in the Department of Comparative Biomedical Sciences at the Royal Veterinary College. You will play an important role in the ongoing investigation of a novel mitochondrial targeted therapy to ameliorate perinatal brain injury on an Action Medical Research funded project.

This 33-month (2.75-year) post offers an exciting opportunity for a talented neuroscientist or cell biologist to investigate mechanisms of injury and repair in the developing brain using histological, behavioural, and molecular biological analysis. A successful candidate requires a BSc in Neuroscience or equivalent biological science, has research experience including the use of histological techniques, and a willingness to work with laboratory animals. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated lab member, who will contribute to the day-to-day running of the lab, participate in lab meetings, and produce novel and high-quality research.
