School of Science The Department of Computer Science at Loughborough University is seeking to appoint a Research Associate (SSA Grade 6) or Research Assistant (SSA Grade 5) to work on an Innovate UK funded project on the Internet of Digital Twin Things (IoDT 2 ). The IoDT 2

project aims to research and develop a novel digital twin framework that allows for the easy sharing of models and data across networks, enabling dynamic computation resources to execute simulations. The successful candidate will collaborate with Dr. Posco Tso, his team, and industry partners to develop this framework. Candidates should possess skills in distributed artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and digital twin technologies, along with strong knowledge in computer networking. Experience in publishing in competitive venues is also required. The position is funded for 23 months for the Research Associate or 24 months for the Research Assistant, with the possibility of an extension of up to 14 months. The Research Associate will be based in the internationally renowned Department of Computer Science at Loughborough University, UK. Founded in 1974, the Department has a long track record of developing skilled and highly employable graduates and is known for cutting-edge research and industry engagement. The university ranked 7th in the UK (National Complete University Guide Rankings 2023) and 212th in the World (QS World University Rankings 2024). In the REF 2021, the department ranked 32 out of 90 UK universities, with 91% of Loughborough's research classified as world-leading or internationally excellent.
