You will be running and supporting both UK and Global research and insights projects across multiple sectors like Retail, Consumer Goods, Travel, Transport, Hospitality, Food Services, Leisure & Entertainment. You will have support from seniors in the team on larger and complex projects. The role requires working closely with other YouGov teams (Account Management, New Business, Offshore Operations & Support Teams) as well as directly with clients to design and deliver research that meets the brief and is clear, unbiased, and stands up to scrutiny. You will be liaising with clients and collaborators on all day-to-day aspects of projects – from project inception to delivery. Here’s a breakdown of what you’ll do: Supporting senior researchers in designing and running research projects, both domestic and international, across various methodologies (end-to-end project management). Developing and applying your understanding of research methods, including good questionnaire design principles. Creating data analysis plans and interpreting data to find trends and insights that answer client questions. Visualising data in reports and writing commentary, headlines, and summaries to create stories (mainly in PowerPoint, but also in Word). Working closely with operations teams responsible for scripting, fieldwork management, and data processing. Collaborating with colleagues to quality-check, design, and deliver projects from start-to-finish. Attending client meetings as a research representative at various stages, including proposal, status checks, reporting, and post-reporting follow-ups. Learning and using internal YouGov processes and systems. These are the essentials you’ll need to get an interview: Educated up to degree/HND level in a relevant subject (e.g., social sciences, English) or industry experience/recognised qualification such as the MRS Advanced Certificate. Quantitative primary research experience in a client-facing role. Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver results, meet deadlines, and manage time effectively. Problem-solving, analytical, and numerical skills. Basic understanding of statistics and quantitative analysis is desirable. Behavioural competencies that would be great to have: Excellent communication skills for managing all internal and external stakeholders effectively. Collaborative team worker with a positive and friendly attitude, enjoying a vibrant and dynamic team environment. Curiosity and interest in consumer sectors like retail, consumer goods, travel, transport, hospitality. What’s in it for me? The opportunity to apply your research skills across a broad range of prestigious clients’ needs. YouGov’s Research team works together and with other teams to produce research for organisations from many sectors. You will work with the best – your teammates - and see your research projects used in key decision-making and gain coverage in UK media and beyond. It’s a busy, fun, hard-working team where the right candidate will see their research repertoire, people skills, and commercial accountability develop quickly.
