About The Role

We at PEI Group are looking for a Research Manager, GPs to join our welcoming, diverse, and growing team based here in London. This individual will work closely with a team of Researchers globally and report into Senior Research Manager, Fundraising. Your main responsibilities will include: Responsibilities

Line manage a team of researchers to ensure PEI collects and maintains fresh and accurate data on the current and future fundraising activities of fund managers in private markets. Project manage several of PEI’s fund manager rankings from end-to-end to agreed timetable and quality. Project manage several of PEI’s quarterly fundraising reports from end-to-end to agreed timetable and quality. Regularly download and quality check fundraising data, ensuring that quality standards are maintained across all of our products and outputs. Maintain a highly motivated and skilled research team through regular performance management and excellent recruitment. Implement constant improvements in process management to improve efficiency of research operations. Sustain across the team a proactive culture to encourage the gathering of data directly from the market through phone interviews and email communication. Sustain across the team a culture of inquisitiveness and curiosity. Encourage researchers for delving deep into data and gathering more new data points. Oversee the growth of PEI’s data products by ensuring that new institutions are regularly and consistently added to the database. Report team’s progress on all stated objectives to the Senior Research Manager on a regular basis. Occasional on-stage presentation of PEI data at industry events. Build and maintain strong relationships with market practitioners. Any other items that require ad-hoc attention as defined by the Senior Research Manager. About You

Characteristics and experience

Working knowledge of financial markets, preferably alternative assets. First rate attention to detail and acceptance of only the highest standards. Clear communication skills verbally and in written form. Excellent numeracy and Excel skills. Experience of managing external supplier relationships preferred. Comfortable managing others to increase efficiency and output through rigorous process and performance management. Experience of making decisions in line with business objectives, prioritising, proactively stepping into problem areas and working out solutions. Confidence to seize initiative and recommend courses of action or ways in which things could be improved. Team-oriented and must be able to work with internal stakeholders effectively. About Us
