Broad knowledge and experience of clinical practice within a high care hospital environment in cardiovascular disease. Interest in clinical research. Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and willingness to develop computer skills further. Knowledge of Data Protection Act 1984 and Caldicott principles. Good understanding of medical terminology. Skills and abilities
Good interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team and use own initiative. Evidence of good management and organisational skills. Ability to manage resources effectively. Good report writing, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to prioritise to ensure effective workload completion. Experienced in central line/arterial line management and assessed to give intravenous medication. Venupuncture or willingness to undertake training. Personal insight and awareness with the ability to recognise own limits. Ability to work flexibly according to role needs. Enthusiasm for embedding research within clinical practice.
