Building on our track record of delivering pioneering research, we are recruiting for Research Physicians to join our innovative team and play a pivotal role in advancing research on fixed-term contracts. The Research Physician will support the successful execution of clinical trials within EMS Healthcare’s Clinical Research Division. This role is crucial in ensuring that clinical trials are conducted in compliance with regulatory, ethical, and sponsor protocols, following Good Clinical Practice (ICH-GCP). The Research Physician will collaborate with senior staff to ensure trial integrity, participant safety, and adherence to study guidelines. This role offers an opportunity for professional growth in clinical research, providing training, mentorship, and experience in leading trials across community-based research sites. To be successful in this role you will need the following experience and skills: Experience - Essential Medical Degree with full GMC registration and a license to practice. At least 1-3 years of experience in clinical trials or research, with exposure to leadership or mentorship roles. Strong understanding of clinical trial operations, patient safety, regulatory compliance, and protocol adherence. Familiarity with ICH-GCP guidelines and ethical standards in clinical research. Experience - Preferable Exposure to therapeutic areas such as obesity, dementia, oncology, and infectious diseases/vaccines. Knowledge of EMS Healthcare’s mobile clinical services or managed service models. Interest in pursuing further academic qualifications, such as a MSc or PhD in a relevant field. Key Skills Ability to work in a team and collaborate across departments in a clinical research setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to engage with internal teams, patients, and external stakeholders. Strong attention to detail, particularly in regulatory compliance and data integrity. Proficient in clinical trial management systems and electronic data capture platforms. Other requirements Hold a full driver’s licence. Have the right to live and work in the UK. Passion for delivering high-quality clinical research services and improving patient outcomes. Ability to work autonomously in a field-based role while supporting a multidisciplinary team environment. A willingness to engage in continuous learning and development within clinical research.
