Job Details: Research Writer/Analyst (Birmingham)
Join our Insight team at Chambers and Partners as a Research Writer/Analyst, based in our Birmingham office. We are actively seeking talented individuals to contribute to the success of our Insight team, which plays a pivotal role in transforming commentary compiled by our research teams into valuable insights for law firms. Main Duties and Responsibilities: Research Analysts are assigned a law firm’s report to write, using provided data to draw sensible conclusions about the reasons for the firm and its lawyers’ rankings. Write 200-400 words of compelling copy in every chapter of the report, aiming to answer all potential questions about the rankings. Learn to write sophisticated Premium reports, which include an analysis of the entire market and competitor trends. Take ownership of each assigned report and regularly discuss work with the Research Manager. Skills and Experience: Using the research database to find relevant raw data. Tidying interview comments for sense and clarity. Rendering comments anonymous by removing any identifying information. Drawing appropriate conclusions regarding final ranking decisions based on research notes. Writing clear, concise, and compelling copy that is easily understood by a layperson. Summarising findings in a short executive summary. After training, analysing the wider market and writing about competitor trends in Premium reports. Using appropriate software to accurately translate interviews conducted in languages other than English. Maintaining a high standard of accuracy in reports by ensuring factual information is correct and up to date. Person Specification: Ability to draw broad conclusions after examining raw data and research notes. Ability to closely follow house style.
