Job Summary

To provide high-quality care and support to children and young people residing in the care home, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development in a nurturing and supportive environment. Ensuring high quality provision of a safe haven for children in need offering a nurturing environment for children who require a residential facility. Provision of a sense of stability and support, allowing them to thrive and reach their full potential is paramount in our organisation and upholding our values.

Personal Care

Assist residents with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.

Administer medications and maintain accurate records of medication schedules.

Support and Supervision

Offer emotional support and companionship.

Supervise residents to ensure their safety and wellbeing.

Daily Living Skills

Teach and support residents in developing skills such as cooking, cleaning, and managing personal finances as appropriate.

Encourage and assist with participation in leisure activities and community involvement.

Health and Wellbeing

Monitor and report any changes in residents' health.

Coordinate with healthcare professionals for routine check-ups and emergency care.

Qualifications and Experience

Level 2 in health and social care or equivalent.

First aid certification and training in safe handling technique.

Personal Qualities:

Commitment to promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Integrity, reliability, and a strong sense of responsibility.

Compassion, patience, and empathy.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

£23,500.00-£25,000.00 per year
