Pebbles Care is building a zero-hour workforce that provides additional support for our children and young people across a region or area. Our zero-hour employees are eligible for fantastic employee benefits, and you will have full access to internal opportunities for progression throughout the company. Your Role and Responsibilities

Ensure that our children and young people are cared for in every aspect of their lives, including keeping them safe from harm, supporting education, cooking, cleaning, and participating in fun activities. Provide crucial support to our care teams across a small number of homes within the same geographical area. Receive a full induction, shadow shifts, and in-depth training, including an introduction to Therapeutic Parenting. Communicate regularly regarding your availability for shifts. You are required to cover as many shifts as possible and must carry out at least one shift every four weeks to remain in the role. What We Offer You

Your hourly rate is £11.50-£12.00, depending upon qualifications and training (Full-time equivalent salary is £33,727 to £35,193). Our Zero Hour employees will provide cover for 24-hour shifts, including sleepovers, or part-time daytime shifts. You will accrue paid annual leave for every hour worked (Full-time equivalent is 28 days). Receive your full rate of pay for all sleepovers and rest breaks. Highly responsible and accountable regarding safeguarding children and young people. A desire to pursue child care qualifications and training. A nurturing and caring nature. Patience and resilience, allowing you to form non-judgmental relationships. An active and supportive listener. A creative ability to have fun and learn new skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficient IT skills and experience in using Microsoft packages. A full, valid UK manual driver's license (all homes have their own vehicles). Desirable Qualities

One year of experience working with children or young adults is highly desirable. SCQF Level 7 (Scotland) or Level 3 Diploma (England) relevant to Children and Young People's Residential workforce or a desire to work towards this. Familiarity with the Codes of Practice set out by regulatory bodies, i.e. SSSC / Ofsted. An existing PVG / DBS certificate or willingness to obtain this. Are You Ready to Join Our Family?
