Your new role As a Residential Childcare Worker, you will be an essential part of our care team, responsible for delivering a high-quality care experience. Your key tasks will include: Building positive, respectful relationships with young people to encourage their personal growth. Ensuring the well-being and hygiene of the children in your care. Advocating for and upholding children's rights in line with the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. Supporting young people in their educational and recreational activities. Maintaining accurate records and participating in care planning processes. You will work closely with young people, families, and partner agencies to promote their best interests and support their development. What you'll need to succeed To thrive in this role, you should have: Experience in the social care sector, particularly in residential settings. Relevant qualifications in social care are ideal (e.g. NVQ Level 3). Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with young people and their families. A solid understanding of safeguarding principles and child protection legislation. A commitment to ongoing professional development and training.
