£31,623.80 to £35,460.20 p/a (includes an average of 9 sleepover payments and based on a 40 hr week). Salary is dependent on qualifications. Please note we cannot offer sponsorship. (for those not already qualified) Working with young people, many of whom are high school age and older, we understand that being a Residential Childcare Worker is about more than just following policies and procedures. It is about being genuinely

caring

and making the right choices in difficult times. Everything we do revolves around the

needs

of our young people, and we work hard to support our Residential Child Care Workers in their own personal commitment to be the best that they can be - to fully understand our young people’s needs and aspirations. The work will involve: Providing

care and guidance

to

vulnerable children and young people living in Residential Care. Working in a positive, respectful, and empowering way with all young people to promote good relationships and encourage achievement while being a positive role model. of

working with young people

in either a professional or voluntary capacity and an understanding of the principles of safeguarding and Child Protection legislation. An understanding and/or experience of Trauma-informed care practices. A valid

manual driving licence

(as you will have to drive young people to various activities). Own transport required due to location. PVG check will also be undertaken if successful. Current legally authorised to work in the UK.
