Sevenoaks District Council is seeking a Residential Enforcement Officer to join our Private Sector Housing team. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong understanding of housing legislation and the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders. The successful candidate will be responsible for enforcing housing standards in the district, including inspecting and licensing HMOs, and assessing properties using the Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS). This role offers a competitive salary of £38,000 - £43,000 per annum, depending on experience, and benefits include a hybrid working model, with two to three days spent working from home and two to three days spent in the office. Key skills and qualifications include a good understanding of housing legislation, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
