As a Residential Manager, you will take on the vital responsibility of leading and managing a dedicated care team to ensure high-quality support for children and young people. The children’s home provides a therapeutic and safe environment for young people with complex emotional needs, helping them to thrive and develop. Your role will be key in creating a nurturing home where each child can feel valued and supported.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Day-to-day management: Overseeing the operations of the home, ensuring compliance with Ofsted standards and other regulatory requirements.
  • Team leadership: Recruiting, supervising, and mentoring staff, ensuring that the team is well-supported and motivated to provide outstanding care.
  • Care delivery: Developing and implementing individualized care plans, ensuring that the emotional, educational, and social needs of the children are met.
  • Safeguarding: Ensuring all safeguarding procedures are adhered to and that the home meets all health and safety standards.
  • Collaboration: Building strong relationships with external partners, including social workers, schools, and healthcare professionals, to deliver the best outcomes for each child.
  • Financial management: Managing budgets and resources effectively to ensure the smooth running of the home.


What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience as a Residential Manager in a children’s home or a similar care environment.
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards it).
  • Strong knowledge of child protection and safeguarding regulations.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • A genuine passion for helping young people and creating a supportive environment.
