Vacancy: Residential Property Lawyer (CLC/CILEx/Solicitor)

Hours: Full-time, permanent contract Location: Exeter

Our Residential Property department combines trusted and experienced conveyancing lawyers with efficient legal support colleagues who, together, deliver outstanding client service across the full range of residential property services. Due to an increasing number of referrals and instructions to our residential property lawyers, we find ourselves with an exciting opportunity for a Residential Property Lawyer (CLC, CILEx or Solicitor) to join our well-established but growing team based in our Exeter office. Within our friendly and experienced Residential Property team, you will feel supported in what you do whilst enjoying the autonomy to use your initiative and self-manage your working day. The Role

The role will be aligned with your PQE and residential property experience and will allow you to develop your caseload, as well as your skill set. You will undertake fee earning work with specific responsibility for domestic conveyancing including leasehold and freehold sales and purchases, registered and unregistered land, advising clients on all aspects of mortgages and lender requirements, buy-to-let properties, shared ownership leases, new plot purchases including help-to-buy charges and the preparation and submission of SDLT returns and Land Registry applications. Who You Are

Your role in our residential property department is key. We expect you to demonstrate previous experience of undertaking a broad sweep of residential property work and to be confident in navigating your clients through their transactions in a pragmatic and creative way. Ideally be a qualified residential property lawyer or working towards professional qualification. Have a sound understanding of the residential property discipline. Be focused on and committed to delivering first-class client service. Have demonstrable experience of developing relationships with both new and existing clients, as well as work referrers and agents. Be a team player with an enthusiastic, can-do attitude. Enjoy working in an environment that is highly focused but friendly and supportive. Contribute to the future success of the residential property team and the wider firm. * This is only a guideline and does not preclude applications from candidates who may have more PQE or equivalent experience. Your enthusiasm for the law should be evident in your engagement with this specialism. If you feel you could be a positive asset to our well-established residential property team, even if you do not currently meet all of the criteria for this role or are not yet qualified but are actively working towards professional qualification, please send us your CV and we will be happy to consider your application with an open mind. The Reward

It is extremely important that all our team members feel valued and their hard work and commitment is recognised so we offer a generous remuneration package which makes Kitson Boyce an employer of choice. An employer pension contribution of 3% of your basic salary. 33 days’ holiday per annum, which includes bank holidays (pro rata for part-time employees). An additional day’s leave on your birthday. Discretionary bonus scheme. Enhanced family leave. Free membership of the Western Provident Association (WPA) – corporate health care cash plan. A Death in Service benefit of 4 x your salary. Access to an Employee Assistance Programme for you and your immediate family members. Membership of Mindful Employer. A range of initiatives to support your physical and mental health wellbeing. Access to the Cycle to Work Scheme. Free legal services for employees – wills and conveyancing. Supported training. Opportunities for career progression. Opportunities for flexible working upon application. Find Out More and Apply
