Our client is a leading global law firm, highly recognised for their Corporate and Disputes work, and is now looking for a collaborative and solution-focused Resource Management Senior Advisor – Work Allocation to join their busy London offices on a permanent basis.
The Resource Management Senior Advisor – Work Allocation will play an important role in supporting the business with their legal staffing, work allocation, and utilisation. KEY DUTIES INCLUDE: Providing recommendations to the Practice Heads for resource allocations and utilisations, ensuring those recommendations are consistent with information barriers. Building and maintaining strong and trusted relationships with partners, associates, trainees, and professional staff. Identifying and understanding the needs of lawyers across the practice, working with Practice Heads to resolve fee earner needs/issues and ensuring they have the available resources. Analyzing and communicating fee earner capacity surveys. Tracking, identifying, and challenging any discrepancies in forecasted activities against recorded time. Assisting with resource allocations and workload management for fee earners. Aligning fee earners’ interests, objectives, and career development to new matters while ensuring client needs are met. Analyzing and monitoring monthly billed and unbilled time to assist with work allocation and future planning. Analyzing overall fee earner time performance for the Practice Heads, HR, and Finance Director for preparation of monthly reporting to the Management Committee. Sharing knowledge and contributing to performance and talent mapping discussions with HR. The Resource Management Senior Advisor – Work Allocation will have prior experience in resource management and workforce planning, ideally within a law firm or large corporate environment. It is essential to demonstrate the ability to be a trusted advisor who provides balanced, pragmatic advice around manpower planning and resource management to the business. Outstanding stakeholder engagement skills at all levels, the ability to build relationships quickly, and easily gain credibility will be key. The right candidate will be an effective team player with excellent attention to detail, strong communication & interpersonal skills, and proficiency in Microsoft applications. The ideal candidate will be a positive, adaptable, and confident professional.
