We have an opportunity for a highly driven and motivated individual to become part of our people resourcing team at The Princess Alexandra Hospital Trust.

As our resourcing partner for clinical workforce, you will provide expertise and advice to develop and deliver recruitment strategies and support the reduction of bank/agency use and spend. Working with hiring managers and divisional teams to ensure services are able to meet their staffing needs and reducing the reliance on temporary workforce.

Main duties of the job

Take a proactive approach to understanding resourcing requirements and translating the service need into creative campaigns and strategies ensuring intervention where we are unable to attract applicants through the standard advertising process. Track vacancy activity ensuring that all vacant posts are being actively recruited to and keeping a record of vacant posts where there are no plans to recruit and reasons. Provide specialist resourcing advice on a range of issues including pre-employment checks, certificates of sponsorship, recruitment agencies, and best practice. Provide general temporary resourcing support and cost-saving ideas to hiring managers, including the reduction of long line temporary staff and alternative routes to markets. Understand reasons for booking, monitor, and challenge areas of concern ensuring triangulation with recruitment activity. Act as the first point of contact for recruitment agencies in the supply and provision of all staff groups where appropriate. Be the day-to-day operational lead in matters relating to international recruitment, from point of contact with agencies to induction and orientation of new recruits for all staff groups. Provide ongoing pastoral support to international recruits as they commence their employment with the Trust, signposting as appropriate and working closely with the divisional team.

Person Specification

Education and qualifications

Essential

Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.

Desirable

CIPD Qualified (Post Graduate Diploma Level) or equivalent experience.

Knowledge and experience

Essential

Understanding of Agenda for Change terms and conditions.
