An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic person to become part of the Lung Function service at Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. The position will be 37.5hrs per week permanent contract. We are looking for a highly motivated Respiratory Physiologist to work with us, to provide a high quality of care to all of our patients, on the Wansbeck General Hospital, North Tyneside General Hospital and outlying sites. You will need to have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. In addition, the flexibility to work around clinic times is essential. You must have a BSc in Clinical Physiology (or equivalent). Other science degrees may also be considered eg Sports and Exercise Physiology, Biology etc. ARTP certification and RCCP or HCPC registration are desirable for this post. If the applicant does not have ARTP accreditation or significant relevant experience, training will be provided with the expectation of taking and passing this qualification. When accreditation is attained we would expect the post holder to begin training in more advanced diagnostics to allow for progression to a Band 6 Highly Specialist Physiologist role.
