Key Responsibilities As a Tim Hortons Restaurant Shift/Floor Manager, you will support the Restaurant Manager, with responsibilities for: Customer Service Lead by example treating customers as top priority. Be customer-focused in all areas of the restaurant operations. Accurate staff scheduling that meets customer demand. Support the whole team to maintain operational efficiency. Conduct regular store walks, in the eyes of the customer. People Encourage staff to share suggestions and concerns. Provide feedback to all members of the team on performance, set goals and objectives & provide support and guidance. Create a positive teamwork ensuring that all employees are treated with dignity and respect and are free from discrimination. Performance management when necessary, working with the HR Department. Driving Sales An in-depth understanding of sales, popular products, peak trade times, and adjusts accordingly. Ensure all products are correctly merchandised and at sufficient levels and all aspects of the marketing campaigns. Coach employees to upsell and suggestive sell to customers. Constantly evaluate where the restaurant could improve, based on employee incentives to bring employees focus to continuous improvement. Operations Key Performance Indicators, such as sales, employee turnover, food safety, and Health & Safety standards. Set the example for your team by keeping a cool head under pressure. Weekly stock orders and ensure that all incoming orders are checked for quality. Maintenance schedule for all equipment for preventative maintenance and calibration purposes. Optimal inventory management. Opening and closing procedures. Maintaining operational standards/cleanliness within the restaurant, such as food quality, food hygiene standards, customer experience, speed of service, and hospitality. Health and Safety program in the restaurant, focusing on the accurate and prompt reporting of any accidents or incidents to the Regional Manager. Be available to work a variety of shifts as part of the management team. Key Requisites Previous experience of running restaurants. A flexible and disciplined approach to work. Experience of working in a food environment would be advantageous but not essential. Able to work as part of a team and on their own. Have a reasonable standard of numeracy and literacy. To maintain a high level of food hygiene and food safety. Experience in handling customer complaints. To maintain positive Health and Safety procedures and instructions are followed.
