This is an exciting opportunity as we are looking for two energetic people to join a new team of Restorative Justice (RJ) practitioners as we develop and build a successful RJ service for victims and offenders across Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent. RJ aims to bring together parties to repair the harm caused by offending and allows victims to be heard and have an opportunity to explain the impact and consequences on their lives. The new post-holders will work with the team to help raise the profile of the service, train and educate key partners in identifying opportunities for RJ and deliver quality casework, such as facilitated conferences (both online and in person), 1-2-1 support, and tailored interventions. The post holder will work within a small team, managed by an RJ Team Leader. What we offer:

This role is based in Stafford, co-located with Justice Services at Staffordshire Police Headquarters. You will be expected to work flexibly across Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent. The service will be delivered as per service user requirements and will involve some early evening and possible weekend delivery. You will be: Working with adult victims and offenders Delivering interventions in person, individually or as part of a group Assessing risk and needs at all times; ensuring the safe delivery of service Working alongside the victim service to coordinate delivery of services You will need: A genuine belief in RJ and a good understanding of how it fits within traditional justice systems Personal resilience and good communication and interpersonal skills A good understanding of crime and its impact on victims and families About Us:
