We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced resuscitation officer to take up the lead post of our resuscitation services across HHFT. You will lead and develop the current service with our team of dedicated resuscitation officers across our three hospital sites, providing expert opinion and leading practice in all life support training. Main duties of the job

The post holder will lead the provision of all Life Support training, from Basic and Advanced life support training to the Trust and other customers as required, undertaking audits to monitor standards of resuscitation. They will attend resuscitations whenever possible within the Trust and perform as a team member or in an expert advisory capacity. The post holder will have significant clinical experience, provide sound clinical expertise to their team, and coordinate and deliver high-quality care. They will lead the development of the resuscitation service supporting the resuscitation team to provide a comprehensive service to the Trust. They will be a role model for expert clinical care and lead on specific projects/management functions. They will also support the service with identified income generation work streams. In addition, the post holder will support the provision of multi-disciplinary simulation and clinical skills within the Trust.

Essential criteria

Essential criteria Knowledge of Resuscitation guidelines and practice. Minimum five years post registration. Experience of teaching clinical skills. Desirable criteria Experience working within an NHS Hospital environment. Experience and knowledge of simulated training delivery and simulation equipment. Experience of being a cardiac arrest bleep holder as part of a team. Training and Qualifications

Essential criteria UK registered Health professional. Recent experience of working in a critical, cardiac or emergency care setting. Degree educated or evidence of working at degree level. Mentorship/teaching qualification. Current RC(UK) ALS/EPALS instructor. Desirable criteria PTLLS Certificate (C&G Award in Education) or equivalent. Working towards ALS Course Director or GIC Instructor. Neonatal advanced life support provider or instructor. Our commitment to you:
