With a network of over 10 shops, including our online shop, our diverse volunteers play an integral role in championing Ayrshire Hospice values, running the shops and promoting our messaging to the wider community. Whether you prefer to work behind the scenes or in a customer-facing role, there are plenty of tasks for you to get involved with. As a Retail Volunteer, you will support the hospice by ensuring we maximise the income across the retail chain by offering the best service to our customers and donors.
Experience required
An understanding of the services the hospice can offer people with a life-limiting illness. Good interpersonal skills. Be a team player and be willing to work within guidelines provided. Be responsible and reliable. Ability to keep up to date with hospice service provision developments. Willingness to uphold the values of the hospice. Ensure health and safety requirements and best practice are followed at all times. Values led. Volunteers (aged 12-25) taking part in this opportunity are eligible to claim Saltire Awards hours for their activity.
