Role Overview:
As a Retrofit Assessor, you will play a vital role in the assessment and evaluation of residential properties to determine the best course of action for energy-efficient retrofitting. Your expertise will help to ensure that homes achieve improved energy performance, reduced carbon emissions, and increased comfort for occupants. You will be involved in conducting surveys, preparing reports, and advising clients on the most appropriate measures for their property.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct detailed property assessments to evaluate current energy efficiency and identify areas for improvement.
Provide professional advice to home-owners on energy-saving retrofitting measures.
Work closely with clients, contractors, and project managers to develop retrofit strategies and ensure smooth implementation.
Advise on funding options, including grants, subsidies, and government schemes.
Stay up to date with industry regulations, best practices, and new technologies.
Provide excellent customer service throughout the assessment process.
Skills & Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Retrofit Assessor, ideally within residential projects.
Strong understanding of retrofit measures and energy-saving technologies (e.g., insulation, heating systems, glazing).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to clients.
Detail-oriented, with strong report-writing and documentation skills.
Relevant certifications (e.g., Retrofit Assessor, Domestic Energy Assessor)
Full driving license and ability to travel to client sites as required.
