Retrofit Site Manager

to join our Carbon solutions team. As Site Manager, you are responsible for providing an excellent service that is safe, effective, and efficient in the delivery of a variety of projects and programs across our varying contracts and ensuring that all works are delivered to the high-quality standards that our clients expect from us in an efficient and VFM manner. You will act as the company’s representation to our clients and their residents, providing effective and efficient communication between the client, residents, and our internal project teams. The Site Manager will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships between Cardo and its clients by being open, honest, and transparent. Core Responsibilities:

Supervise and manage onsite retrofit projects. Work closely with contractors and suppliers to ensure the project is completed within the allotted budget and timeframe. Ensure all work is completed in line with the programme of works while observing the highest standards of health & safety. Oversee the installation of energy-efficient measures and ensure that the building meets sustainability standards. Manage site operations of Retrofit Works. Adhere to Building Control regulations and all other statutory and mandatory regulations/legislation. Work to drawings and specifications. Attend both internal and client meetings, representing the business professionally. Generate, review, and achieve programme performance. Be organised and proficient in the use of various ICT systems, regulations, and legislation relevant to the building/construction industry. Adapt and contribute to other departmental work streams for team collaboration. Involve residents in the overall process and ensure they are informed of current situations. Develop effective working relationships with residents, direct labour operatives, sub-contractors, clients, building control, and the local fire authority. Act as the representative and face of Cardo Group. Support customer liaison officers with resident consultation/engagement and assist the project team in pre-consultation and update meetings. Encourage positive relationships between the company and residents, ensuring actions are followed up. Ensure works are installed to PAS2030/MCS requirements. Provide clear and concise communication on progress and activity in both technical and simple terms. Convey accurate information to residents and from residents to the project team. Take ownership of customer/resident complaints to completion, sharing lessons learned with the project team and senior management. Demonstrate strong negotiation skills and deliver points professionally while treating others with respect. Update systems to ensure all documents relating to your role are saved and ready for auditing in strict accordance with Cardo procedures. Control project execution plans and deliver structured updates to the client. Manage, review, and monitor risk, program, plant, quality, and cost. Promote and follow good project governance through the policies and procedures laid out by the Cardo Group. Understand and work within team targets and the Cardo South business plan. Liaise with the project Retrofit Co-Ordinator to ensure compliance. Skills & Experience:

A minimum of 5 years previous site management experience. Sound knowledge of the social housing sector including planned works programmes and maintenance projects. Sound knowledge of the construction industry. Experience working in multiple refurbishment project settings/projects. Sound knowledge of section 20 leaseholder consultation and housing legislation. Experience of communication with supply chain partners, clients, residents, and internal staff. Experience delivering successful outcomes to complaints. Qualifications:

A valid SMSTS qualification. CSCS card in site management. NVQ level 6 in site management/construction. A recognised building/trade qualification. Asbestos Awareness Certification. Must hold a current valid driving license. Recognised qualifications and/or work experience regarding Fire Assessment surveying and remedial works. At Cardo Group, we value diversity.
