The successful candidate will lead the implementation, development, and maintenance of Revit standards and workflows across projects, ensuring high-quality, accurate, and efficient M&E designs. This is an opportunity for a highly motivated individual to influence project success and drive innovation in the use of BIM technologies. Responsibilities Technical Leadership
Act as the primary Revit expert for M&E disciplines, providing guidance to teams on best practices, workflows, and standards. Lead the development, customization, and maintenance of Revit templates, libraries, and families specific to M&E services. Troubleshoot complex Revit issues and provide solutions to ensure project deadlines are met. Collaborate with project teams to establish BIM execution plans and ensure compliance with project requirements.
Team Support & Development
Train and mentor team members in Revit and BIM methodologies to enhance overall team capability. Conduct regular quality checks on Revit models to ensure consistency, accuracy, and adherence to standards. Provide support to engineers and designers during project delivery, ensuring that Revit models align with design intent. Work closely with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination of M&E services. Facilitate clash detection and resolution processes using Revit and other coordination tools like Navisworks. Participate in multidisciplinary design meetings, representing the M&E Revit function.
Innovation & Process Improvement
Identify opportunities to optimise Revit workflows and processes, implementing solutions that improve efficiency and productivity. Stay up to date with advancements in BIM and Revit technologies, introducing new tools and techniques to the team. Support the implementation of ISO 19650 standards and other relevant BIM frameworks.
Qualifications Proven experience as a Revit/BIM Technician in a relevant Building Services Engineering Field. Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and public health systems in building design. Proficiency in Revit, including family creation, worksharing, and advanced modelling techniques. Familiarity with coordination tools such as Navisworks and BIM 360. Knowledge of industry standards such as BS EN ISO 19650 and CIBSE/BSRIA guidelines. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Experience with Dynamo for Revit scripting and automation. Knowledge of other design tools like AutoCAD, StabiCAD or similar. Relevant certifications, such as Autodesk Revit Professional or similar. Personal Attributes Strong leadership and communication skills.
