We now have an exciting opportunity for a Reward Specialist to join our People Directorate. The Reward Specialist is responsible for supporting the delivery of SLC’s total reward strategy. This includes job evaluation, statutory reporting, project management, and continuous improvement. Reporting to the Senior Reward Consultant, the role supports our people strategy by ensuring fair, consistent, and transparent reward practices that align with organisational goals. The Reward Specialist is an experienced HR professional, with a broad range of HR knowledge and experience. The successful candidate will have a strong reward specialism, well-developed stakeholder management experience, and excellent analytical skills.

SLC offers a blended working model which will typically be 2 days in the office and 3 days from home.

What you bring:

Knowledge of current legislation and regulations impacting reward practices and the ability to provide advice and guidance on best practices.

Ability to lead, manage, and deliver on multiple tasks and deadlines utilising a range of direct and indirect resources.

Ability to manage complex issues and quickly evaluate a situation, including risk assessment and propose a course of action.

Extensive experience in a progressive People / HR Department in a similar role, including providing advice to managers/employees on a wide range of people issues to a complex level.

CIPD Qualified or relevant comparable experience.

Experience of working across and managing multiple projects alongside BAU activities.

Experience of working with and handling highly sensitive and personal data, particularly in adherence to GDPR.

Experience of delivering and reviewing a total rewards package.

Experience of job evaluation and benchmarking.
