Reward Specialist Permanent Up to £55,000 Hybrid working – 2 days per week in the office (Leatherhead, Surrey) Oakleaf are partnering with a charitable organisation in search of a strong Reward professional. The postholder will work in a standalone capacity, leading all compensation and benefits activities. Role Overview: The Reward Specialist will collaborate closely with the People Team, taking a hands-on approach to lead the organisation’s reward, benefits, and wellbeing strategies. Reporting to the Head of HR Services, the role involves developing and managing reward programmes that attract and retain talent, ensuring competitiveness through benchmarking, and overseeing annual pay reviews. Key Responsibilities: Provide expert advice on salary, benefits, and wellbeing, aligning with statutory requirements and organisational guidelines. Develop and deliver the Total Reward Strategy, including pay, benefits, and wellbeing initiatives. Maintain a reward matrix and conduct job slotting based on bands. Manage relationships with external reward providers, ensuring timely renewals and sourcing new partners to enhance benefits and wellbeing. Oversee annual salary reviews and conduct market-specific benchmarking. Manage Short Term Incentive programmes and plans. Collaborate with the recruitment team to monitor salary trends and support benchmarking activities. Promote benefits and wellness initiatives, working with the People Engagement Coordinator on recognition programmes and long service awards. Ensure accurate coordination of core HR reward processes, including gender pay gap reporting and pay reviews. Skills and Experience Required: Proven experience in a compensation and benefits specialist position. Expertise in leading annual employee benefit renewal cycles and managing third-party suppliers. Significant experience with defined contribution schemes and all key reward areas, including job design, pay cycles, pensions, payroll, and taxation. Proficiency in employee wellbeing programmes and diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives is advantageous. Strong analytical and data interrogation skills, with advanced Excel and PowerPoint abilities. Confident communicator, capable of presenting knowledge through webinars and training sessions. In-depth knowledge of compensation practices, market analysis, and regulatory requirements. Self-motivated and capable of working independently to meet deadlines.
