Requisition ID: 73321 Skyworks Solutions is seeking an experienced RF Test/Applications Engineer for its Mobile Solutions RFIC team located in our UK design center. This candidate will test, debug, and optimize our prototype RFIC designs to meet customer specifications and support them through to production. Working closely with the co-located RF design team and wider cross-site teams in the US & Canada, the candidate will play a key role in validating and delivering high-performance RF communication products to high volume applications in mobile phone and other markets. Responsibilities:

Perform RF testing on prototypes using automated test systems in an R&D lab (for example EVM, load pull, ACPR, etc) Debugging and optimizing prototype performance through RF tuning and IC control interface Analysis and evaluation of results Support designs through to production including production test result analysis Work closely with design engineers and product engineers Self-starter with flexibility to work within a small team to take on a range of tasks as required Modify & debug test software, configuration files, and other scripts Management of equipment calibration and maintenance Required Skills:

Degree or BTEC Level 5 in a relevant discipline and 5+ years of relevant industry experience Working knowledge of RF test equipment (Vector network analyzers, spectrum analyzer, signal generators, load pull, etc) Scripting and debug experience in Python, LabVIEW, Visual Basic, or similar Ability to work methodically with careful record keeping Experience of modern wireless communications systems (WiFi, Cellular, Bluetooth) Data analysis, interpretation, and presentation/reporting using Excel Appreciation of analogue and RF design principles Skyworks is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
