History Graduate Exciting Opportunity in Kingston-upon-Thames Secondary Schools Are you a History graduate with a passion for education and a desire to inspire young minds? We are offering an exciting opportunity for History graduates to join secondary schools in Kingston-upon-Thames as academic mentors, supporting the teaching of History in a dynamic and engaging way. What We Offer: Salary: £480-£550 per week (pro-rata, term-time only) Term-time only contract: Aligning with the academic school year Fantastic experience: An excellent opportunity to develop your teaching skills and gain valuable classroom experience Supportive environment: Work alongside experienced teachers and receive the mentoring support you need to succeed
What We're Looking For: A History degree (2:1 or above) from a top UK university Passion for History and the ability to share that enthusiasm with students Previous tutoring or teaching experience (preferred but not essential) Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with students of varying abilities A positive, enthusiastic attitude and a desire to make a difference in students' learning
Key Responsibilities: Provide academic support for History students across different year groups Assist in delivering engaging lessons, helping students develop a deeper understanding of historical events and themes Lead small group interventions to support students' progress, particularly those who need additional help Support teachers in planning and delivering interactive lessons and assessment feedback
