For The Successful Rigger, Our Client Is Offering: Hourly rate of £20.00 per hour (PAYE) Overtime paid at x1.5 (£30.00) & x2 (£40.00) Core working hours Monday - Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with a 2:30 pm finish on Friday Overtime available after core hours & weekends Long-term temporary position Holiday pay Pension - Auto enrolment after 3 months Opportunities for candidates to become permanent depending on performance
The Role - Rigger: Estimating size and weight of objects that have to be moved. Preparing and selecting appropriate rigging equipment needed, including beams, pulleys, clamps, and bolts. Installing and operating cables, ropes, pulleys, winches, and other lifting tackle. Lifting and erecting prefabricated panels made of steel, glass, or concrete. Erecting structural steel such as scaffolding on buildings under construction. Inspecting, maintaining, and repairing equipment. Using manual mechanical devices and assembling temporary structures like scaffolding. Using hand & power tools. Ensuring high-quality standards are met. Following health and safety protocols.
What Our Client Is Looking For In a Rigger: NVQ in Moving Loads or equivalent - BENEFICIAL Proven expertise in a similar role as a rigger/slinger/banksman - ESSENTIAL Proven experience in the Marine/Nuclear/Steel fabrication/Off-shore/Petro-chemical or Construction industries - ESSENTIAL NPORS/CCNSG Safety passport or equivalent - BENEFICIAL Full BPSS checks or willingness to undergo the clearance process.
