We are looking for a Risk Analyst to join our successful Risk team. This is a Kirkham Office role.


Role and Responsibilities

  • Market Reporting - Written review / analysis of energy markets to inform both internally and externally.
  • Market Analysis - Highlight significant market activity, causes and implications. Identify short-, medium- and long-term market risk / opportunities. Undertake supporting data analysis (data trends/history, correlation, etc.)
  • Support - General support to the trading team, data / information provision to support client facing / sales teams.
  • Trading Support - Complete trade requests, following the trade process through to supplier confirmation of the trade.
  • Risk Management Support - Support with the management of Inspired Collectives - managing the positions, validating COGs/COEs, generating position reports, provide updates to the wider business.
  • Progress to managing bespoke risk managed client positions.


Qualifications and Education Requirements

Essential

  • Analytical/Research Background
  • A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel essential)
  • Minimum 5 GCSE’s A-C grade including Maths and English
  • Energy Industry Experience
  • Clean & Full UK Driving License

Desirable

  • Degree level education
  • VBA & Python experience

Required Skills

  • Written Communication - Excellent writing and grammatical skills. Able to communicate in a logical order with clear analysis and conclusion. Appreciation of purpose and audience. Fastidious attention to detail and grammar.
  • Analytical / Research - Proactive with a high level of self-motivation. Logical and considered approach. Able to communicate detailed analysis in a concise and understandable manner.
  • Attributes - Enthusiastic, well organised, clear verbal communication skills, good numerical skills, strong work ethic. Shows initiative and takes ownership of personal development.
  • Experience - Degree level or equivalent award / experience. Energy market experience is beneficial but not necessary. Good excel and word skills
