A globally recognised law firm with a focus on sector-specific industries across various regions including the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and Australia is looking for a Risk Lawyer to join its team based in London. In this role you will provide support to senior leadership, including the Risk & Compliance Partner and Head of Legal Risk on global operations. Key Responsibilities of the Risk Lawyer: Provide guidance on a wide range of issues, including professional standards, ethics, conflicts, contracts, business continuity, and third-party terms. Regularly update the firm's internal manuals and compliance documentation. Draft policies and procedures in response to regulatory changes across jurisdictions. Draft, review, and negotiate terms of engagement with external partners and experts. Maintain an up-to-date risk register and manage escalated conflict queries. Advise on anti-money laundering and sanctions-related matters. Perform other ad hoc duties as required. Key Skills: Qualified lawyer with at least 2 years of post-qualification experience (PQE). Experience in legal compliance within an international firm, with knowledge of conflicts, confidentiality, and ethics would be beneficial. Familiarity with regulatory frameworks, including anti-money laundering and sanctions. Strong drafting and policy-writing skills. In-depth knowledge of legal procedures, especially in contract and tort law.
