*Risk Lead* (Contract) Duration: 6 months (Possibility for extension) Location: Chester (3 days per week on site) Rate: A highly competitive Umbrella day rate is available for suitable candidates Role Profile We are currently seeking a highly motivated Risk Lead to join our client's team in the Investment Banking industry. As a Risk Lead, you will play a crucial role in partnering and supporting the Currency, Commodities & Derivatives Operations (CCDO) teams and senior leaders. Your main responsibilities will include proactively identifying, quantifying, prioritising, and mitigating risks, improving controls, and maintaining a focus on operational excellence and sustainable solutions. Key Responsibilities: Partner with CCDO teams to improve the risk profile and control environment Provide independent oversight and assessment of the risk environment Strengthen control culture and practices, promoting risk principles across the organisation Coordinate regulatory exams, corporate audits, and target risk assessments Develop and maintain the Single Process Inventory framework Collaborate with Audit, Compliance, and Operational Risk partners on findings and emerging themes Ensure compliance with critical deadlines for risk identification and remediation Skills & Requirements: Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as a team player Experience in a risk role, audit function, or second-line risk preferred Knowledgeable in Global Markets products or support functions preferred Track record of process improvement and successful teamwork Commitment to promoting positive change and continuous learning Proactive problem-solving skills and ability to drive resolutions Motivated and adaptable in a diverse environment Strong stakeholder management skills at all levels of seniority Desire to bring innovation and new ideas to the team Experience connecting with diverse clients to understand future business needs Belief in the value of diversity and its impact on client and employee needs worldwide Candidates will need to show evidence of the above in their CV in order to be considered.
