The Project:

A large defence capital works programme which, over 15 years, will contribute to the upgrade of the UK's strategic defence capability. Mace (in partnership with the client and other industry organisations) will establish and subsequently manage the programme management organisation overseeing the delivery of numerous complex and varied capital works projects.

You'll be responsible for: Technical professional with risk management experience.

General understanding of all aspects of cost management and promote value for money.

Understanding of Mace way (control centre) processes & recommended tools.

Working knowledge of current methodologies & tools related to managing projects.

Able to lead negotiations with third parties as cost management specialist.

Able to respond to client / stakeholder requests effectively & sensitively.

Excellent attention to detail & able to validate & check data and reports, recording & reports produced, providing basic commentary & analysis.

You'll need to have: Ability to design & develop risk management reports in core risk management tools to an intermediate level.

Managing others including delegating, coordinating, appraising, coaching, & developing/mentoring employees with less experience.

Persuading & influencing clients, consultants, suppliers & colleagues.

Working with others to create & deliver persuasive presentations.

Tackling problems that do not have an obvious solution.

Representing Mace in a professional manner at all times.

Relevant CSCS Card

You'll also have: Exposure to project risk management methodologies & delivery.

Successful interaction with a range of key stakeholders, including client & wider team.

In addition to mandatory training courses:

Progressing towards professional qualification (e.g. APM, MSP. PPC etc.
