An exciting opportunity for a creative communicator with a specialism or interest in information security. Develop your career in a dynamic Risk Division team. Hybrid up to 80% homeworking available and 20% in our stunning Stratford-upon-Avon head office. About the role

NFU Mutual is seeking a creative and proactive member of our Risk Division team, focusing on information security and data protection training, awareness, and governance to ensure our people are informed, engaged, and aligned with the organisation’s risk management strategies and compliance requirements. The principle focus of this role involves developing and executing training and awareness plans and materials, crafting messaging for a variety of internal channels, and coordinating communications across the business on a range of information security and data protection topics. As part of this remit, you will deliver training sessions, respond to queries from colleagues and work with our Information Security Champion network, as well as working within the team to implement phishing simulations to educate and test employees on recognising and responding to phishing threats. Our training and awareness activities do not sit in isolation, however, and the team works collaboratively with each other and with other teams in the Division and wider business in a governance capacity to monitor and understand the effectiveness of our information security and data protection risk management strategies, which helps to inform where further training and awareness efforts may be needed. This involves coordination of regular management information collation and reporting on risk trends and compliance with policies, assessing and maintaining our inventories of data processes and platforms, and ensuring our information security charter reflects current processes against industry standards and best practice. Whilst these activities are coordinated day-to-day by another team member, your role will require an understanding of these activities, maintaining an awareness of management information insights, and a flexible approach in support of the overall remit of the team. This role is known internally as an Information Risk Management Analyst. About you

The ideal candidate will have experience in delivering training and awareness initiatives, a knack for storytelling, and an ability to engage diverse audiences in an accessible and positive way. You will also have a keen eye for detail and be able to deliver consistent processes in an organised manner, as well as possess exceptional presentation and effective communication skills, crucial for clearly conveying complex information to diverse audiences. Strong stakeholder engagement abilities are essential to build and maintain productive relationships across the business. Adaptability is also key, enabling you to thrive in a dynamic environment and respond swiftly to changing priorities and challenges. You’ll also have: Strong relationship building skills and a desire to work as part of a dynamic team, engaging with people across the business. Experience in or transferrable skills allowing the designing and delivering engaging, high-quality training material and internal communications content. Excellent communication skills (written, oral, and presentation). A creative flare to apply to Information Security and Data Protection topics to make them engaging for your audience. In addition, you’ll have or be willing to learn and develop: An understanding of policy compliance and risk management frameworks. Knowledge of the Data Protection Act and GDPR legislation and their practical application within a business context. At NFU Mutual, we support an inclusive workplace and value all the differences that make us unique.
