Job Description

Contract Labour Manager - £33k + Quarterly Bonus - Carlisle About the Role:

Are you a proactive and hands-on leader with experience managing a large volume of workers? We're looking for a Contract Labour Manager to join our team and oversee the contract workforce at a busy manufacturing site. If you're someone who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and loves working with people to ensure things run smoothly, this could be the perfect role for you! You'll be on the ground, making sure everything is running like clockwork in the factory, helping to manage staffing, and keeping things safe and efficient. You'll work closely with the factory team and the internal team to make sure the right people are in the right place at the right time, with ultimate responsibility for delivery of the recruitment and fulfilment of the plan. What You'll Be Doing: Managing the workforce:

You'll oversee the temporary workers on-site, ensuring they are working effectively, adhering to health and safety guidelines, and staying motivated. Coordinating with the team:

You'll be the go-to person for factory management, helping them figure out staffing needs, and ensuring the recruitment campaign is delivered on time and to the contract requirements. Project management:

Ultimate responsibility for the recruitment plan and managing the end-to-end recruitment process to ensure deadlines are achieved. Monitoring performance:

You'll keep track of attendance, work quality, and productivity, stepping in when there are issues, and helping workers succeed. Ensuring compliance:

Safety's a big deal in any factory, so you'll make sure workers are following all safety regulations and procedures and that the work environment is up to standard. Problem-solving:

Things can get hectic, so you'll need to address any issues quickly—whether it's a staffing gap or a performance concern—and keep things moving smoothly. Maintaining relationships:

You'll be building strong relationships with the workers on-site and the factory team, acting as a key point of contact when there are any concerns or questions. What We're Looking For: Experience managing temporary or contract workers:

Ideally, you've worked in a manufacturing environment, especially in food production or something similar, and know how to manage a fluctuating workforce. Strong communication skills:

You'll be liaising with lots of different people, so it's important that you can communicate clearly and build good working relationships. Problem-solver:

Things don't always go to plan, and you'll need to think on your feet and find solutions to keep everything running smoothly. Organised and efficient:

You'll need to stay on top of scheduling, attendance, and paperwork, so being detail-oriented and organised is key. Health and safety know-how:

You should understand the importance of keeping a safe work environment and know the regulations that apply in a factory setting. A proactive attitude:

You'll be managing the day-to-day operations, so we need someone who is hands-on, can handle pressure, and isn't afraid to get stuck in when needed. Flexibility to work to the demands of the site:

this could be meeting a night shift team to ensure relationships are maintained. Bonus Points If You Have: Experience in a similar role in the food production industry. Worked for a recruitment agency. Knowledge of HR legislation and compliance. Why You'll Love This Role: Variety:

No two days are the same, and you'll be jumping from one task to the next in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. People-focused:

You'll be helping workers succeed, making sure they're in the right role, and supporting them through any challenges. Impact:

You'll be directly contributing to the smooth running of the factory, ensuring that production targets are met, and the workforce is motivated. JBRP1_UKTJ
