Lincoln Accident and Emergency Department already employs an amazing team of dedicated Registered Nurses, Paramedics, Healthcare Support Workers, Porters, Reception staff, and Housekeepers. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a registered nurse to join our team at Band 6 level. Main Duties of the Job

We are looking for a candidate that has a wealth of experience at Band 5 level, who has passion, focus, and the drive to deliver high-quality care whilst working in a busy environment. You should have excellent communication skills both written and verbal and the ability to motivate yourself and others to manage the workload while adapting to rapidly changing situations. You will be expected to have the confidence to competently challenge practice and behaviors to promote excellent care, adhering to current policies and procedures and encouraging others to do the same. You will lead by example and support junior colleagues to provide safe, patient-focused care in line with ULH Trust values. Person Specification

Qualifications

Active Registrant on NMC/ HCPC register. Evidence of continuing professional development. Evidence of continuing education & professional development. Appropriate mentor qualification or equivalent teaching qualification. Degree in related subject. Evidence of working in Urgent and Emergency care. ALS, EPALS. Proven assessment and teaching skills and the ability to develop competencies through which practice can be assessed. Proven oral and written communication skills. Able to manage difficult or complex situations effectively and to work under pressure. Demonstrates the ability to implement Trust Policies and Procedures in practice, understanding the rationale behind such documents. Demonstrates the ability to implement sustainable change which enhances patient care/experience. Ability to prioritize and organize workload. Analytical, motivator, pro-active. Able to work using own initiative; team player but also able to work independently. Ability to delegate appropriately and effectively. Awareness and knowledge of the dignity in care agenda. Ability to evidence/demonstrate key values and behaviors in line with the Trust framework. Demonstrates an understanding of the principles of research. Demonstrates an understanding of the national agenda, demonstrating that they are able to translate this into everyday policy and practice. Previous Experience

Demonstrates the ability to implement and sustain high standards of individualized, clinically effective, up-to-date evidence-based care. To have a range of experiences in the management of acutely unwell patients. Knowledge of clinical effectiveness and audit. ED experience. Specific Requirements
