Main duties of the job
We are looking for a candidate that has a wealth of experience at Band 5 level, who has passion, focus, and the drive to deliver high-quality care whilst working in a busy environment. We need you to have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and have the ability to motivate yourself and others to manage the workload, adapting to rapidly changing situations. You will be expected to have the confidence to competently challenge practice and behaviours to promote excellent care, adhering to current policies and procedures, and encourage others to do the same. Pilgrim Hospital is situated in beautiful countryside and serves the communities in the South Lincolnshire area. It provides all major specialties and a 24-hour major accident and emergency service. Grantham and District Hospital serves the communities of Grantham and the local area. It provides ambulatory paediatric and accident and emergency services. Lincoln Hospital is a thriving university city and, with the opening of the medical school, it provides all major specialties and a 24-hour major accident and emergency service. United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust has been granted teaching hospital status after demonstrating evidence of significant teaching commitment. From now on it will be known as United Lincolnshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust (LCHS) and United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust (ULHT) have come together in a Group arrangement, with the goal of improving the care provided to patients across the county. Active Registrant on NMC/HCPC register. Evidence of continuing professional development. Evidence of continuing education & professional development. Appropriate mentor qualification or equivalent teaching qualification. Degree in related subject. Evidence of working in Urgent and Emergency care. ALS. EPALS. Proven assessment and teaching skills and the ability to develop competencies through which practice can be assessed. Proven oral and written communication skills. Able to manage difficult or complex situations effectively and to work under pressure. Demonstrates the ability to implement Trust Policies and Procedures in practice, understanding the rationale behind such documents. Demonstrates the ability to implement sustainable change which enhances patient care/experience. Ability to prioritise and organise workload. Analytical. Motivator. Pro-active. Able to work using own initiative. Team player but also able to work independently. Ability to delegate appropriately and effectively. Awareness and Knowledge of the dignity in care agenda. Ability to evidence/demonstrate key values and behaviours in line with the Trust framework. Demonstrates an understanding of the principles of research.
