Hastings District Council has developed a reputation for getting things done and being proactive in supporting its communities. Cyclone Gabrielle has devastated parts of our community and Council is at the forefront of the recovery. The impacts of Cyclone Gabrielle were significant on our Roading network. The community has responded, and our recovery is gaining momentum with the investigation, planning and design of a vast recovery programme to rebuild our devastated and fragile roading infrastructure.
Council requires an experienced Road Drainage Engineer who will support the Transportation Operations team. The role will identify and manage the delivery of our Road Drainage projects within the Transportation Team, delivering quality and cost-efficient resilient roading infrastructure.
You will play a pivotal role within the Transportation Operations Team and work closely with our industry-leading Professional Services Panel of Consultants.
This position will manage delivery of the Cyclone Recovery Programme by supporting the delivery of the programme of works to meet the needs of HDC, Consultants and Contractors in a manner that creates an enduring relationship by:

Contract Management
Relationship Management
