Our client was first established over 35 years ago from a small independent business into one of the UK’s leading freight groups.We are now seeking an experienced road freight & customs operator to join our leading freight forwarding and global logistics company based in Manchester. This is an exciting opportunity to become a part of a dynamic and growing team.We are interested in speaking with individuals who possess experience in customs clearances for EU Road freight imports and exports.Additionally, we are keen to speak with candidates who manage to full end-to-end EU Road freight operational process including customs via CDS.Road Freight & Customs Operator Key Role & Responsibilities: Liaising with customers/hauliers to arrange transport/bookingsKey account assistance – taking on house accounts to develop and retainRoad pricing – this includes LTL, FTL, EU Cross Trades, OOG shipmentsPreparing customs entries on imports and exports ensuring a high level of accuracy and full complianceProcessing supporting documents such as T1’s, COO, EUR1 on ICERTProcessing refunds via HMRCFull training via our booking systemRequirements:Sound understanding of CNS / Destin8Experience of CDS essential to this roleGood trade tariff knowledgeExcellent interpersonal skills and a team playerGood organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet tight deadlinesAbility to work well whilst under time constraints with a ‘right-first-time’ approachWR Logistics are the #1 recruitment partner for all vacancies in the logistics industry.
