The Roads Working Foreperson will be expected to undertake structural and road maintenance works, understand and work unsupervised, setting out and constructing all types of work to a satisfactory standard. They will supervise and motivate a large multi-skilled group of employees and ensure deadlines are adhered to when submitting paperwork. Participation in out-of-hours standby during summer/winter months to ensure roads are maintained in a safe condition is required. This is a permanent post, 37 hours per week, worked Monday to Friday. It is essential that the successful applicant holds an HGV licence and has experience in supervisory management or equivalent. They should also possess leadership skills in a small team and be able to work on their own initiative.
