Overview
We are seeking a skilled Roofer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various roofing techniques and materials, demonstrating a strong ability to work at heights and manage the physical demands of the role. This position requires a commitment to safety and quality workmanship, ensuring that roofs are installed or repaired to the highest standards.
Duties
Install, repair, and maintain various types of roofing systems, including flat and pitched roofs.
Use hand tools and power tools effectively for roofing tasks.
Conduct inspections of roofs to identify issues or areas needing repair.
Fabricate roofing materials as required for specific projects.
Perform heavy lifting and manoeuvre materials safely on-site.
Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters and masons, to ensure comprehensive project completion.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
Skills
Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to roofing tasks.
Experience with welding techniques for metal roofing applications is advantageous.
Ability to perform heavy lifting and work in physically demanding conditions.
Knowledge of masonry techniques may be beneficial for certain roofing projects.
Familiarity with building codes and regulations related to roofing installations.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to plumb structures accurately during installation or repairs.
