Overview
We are seeking a skilled Roofer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in roofing and construction, demonstrating proficiency in various techniques. This role involves working on diverse roofing projects, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. The Roofer will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofs, contributing to the overall integrity of buildings.
All tools and van supplied during work hours. There will be a trial period of 3 months after which a company van can be supplied with a fuel card.
Responsibilities
Install, repair, and maintain various types of roofing systems, including flat and pitched roofs. Use hand tools and power tools effectively to complete roofing tasks. Read and interpret schematics to ensure accurate installation and repairs. Perform heavy lifting as required during the roofing process. Collaborate with other tradespeople such as carpenters and masons when necessary. Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety regulations and quality standards. Conduct inspections of roofs to identify issues or potential problems. Weld materials as needed for specific roofing applications. Maintain a clean and organised work area throughout the project. Qualifications
Proven experience in roofing or a related field is essential. Familiarity with using power tools, hand tools, and welding equipment. Ability to read and understand construction schematics. Strong physical stamina to perform heavy lifting and work at heights. Knowledge of masonry techniques is an advantage but not mandatory. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. A valid driver's licence may be required for travel to job sites.
