Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children in your care Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and educational programs Supervise and engage children in play, both indoors and outdoors Support all staff and engage in a good staff team Assist with meal preparation and feeding Change nappies and assist with toilet training Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the childcare area Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns Be flexible within working practices of nursery, including undertaking certain domestic jobs within the nursery, e.g. preparation of snack meals, cleansing of equipment, putting out bins, doing the laundry, etc. Flexibility with regard to working in different rooms as and when required to ensure effective operation of the nursery. Experience:
Previous experience working with children in a childcare setting Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate activities Ability to multitask and prioritise the needs of multiple children Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with children Note: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the responsibilities and requirements of this position.
