We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Room Leader to join our team in providing exceptional care and early childhood education to children in our nursery.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young children, ensuring their safety, development, and well-being in a nurturing environment.

Salary:

£23,795.00 - £26,265.00 per annum

Duties

Provide high-quality care for children aged 0-5 years, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met. Support and supervise playroom staff with their day-to-day duties. Plan and implement engaging educational activities that promote early childhood development. Deploy staff appropriately to ensure that the required standards are delivered and maintained within the rooms. Implement the nursery key carer procedures and allocate children to key carers appropriately. Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment for children to explore and learn. Ensure the nursery meets the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise. Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive team approach to childcare. Manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and play activities. Observe and assess children's development, documenting progress as required. Drive initiatives that promote leadership within the nursery setting. Experience

Hold a level 2 or 3 qualification or above within early years. Have excellent knowledge of EYFS guidelines. Previous experience in childcare or early childhood education. A background in managing or leading teams within a nursery or similar environment is advantageous. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues. As part of our commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the children and young people, the successful candidate is expected to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
