Provide technical expertise, knowledge and guidance to all items pertaining to Rotating Equipment, specifically compressors and pump equipment in CO2 / CCS applications. Support the planning, scheduling and execution of discipline activities and deliverables, including manhour estimating and schedule preparation to support bid / tendering as required. Create, specify, and maintain data sheets for Rotating Equipment such that the items can be purchased. Compile RFQs with specifications, scopes, and data sheets. Visit the supplier's premises to attend kick-off / alignment meetings, the testing of equipment and clarification meetings. Coordinate with other disciplines during all stages of design development, construction, pre-commissioning, and start-up to ensure there is no conflict within the overall engineering design. Ensure rotating design deliverables conform to all applicable engineering codes and standards as well as the client's policies and procedures. Provide input to the preparation of Technical Work Practices (TWP's) and Standards. Attend weekly internal and external progress meetings and generate status reports for the Engineering / Project Manager. Define scope of work for 3rd Party subcontracts as required. Prepare tender bid evaluations and assessment of bids. Provide input to EPC scope of work and EPC Tender Rotating for EXECUTE stage. Ensure compliance with management of change processes both technical and financial. Provide direction and guidance on technical queries relating to mechanical engineering and raise appropriate EQ's / deviations. Participate in all project safety and design reviews as necessary. Take ownership for risk identification, assessment, mitigation, monitoring and close out for your respective discipline. QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. Significant years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry. A specialist and detailed knowledge of the major mechanical equipment types. Thorough knowledge of relevant international codes and standards.
