We are looking for Occupational Therapists to join our Band 5 rotation. Rotations are offered across hospital and community settings, and include acute medicine, stroke, reablement, community mental health, Urgent Community Response and intermediate care. Band 5's will be provided with supervision and training to support development of skills and knowledge. Candidates must have previous NHS experience either as an undergraduate or postgraduate to be eligible to apply for this post. Main duties of the job

QUALIFICATIONS / TRAINING

Registered with HCPC Basic understanding of Clinical Governance Awareness of relevant Legislation, NSF'S/ Local and National initiatives Candidate must have previous NHS experience at undergraduate or postgraduate level Member of Professional Body KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & EXPERTISE

Undergraduate experience in a wide range of clinical areas Can demonstrate good clinical reasoning skills Evidence of CPD and reflective practice Critical Appraisal Skills Ability to maintain legible and accurate records Previous experience working at Band 5 level COMMUNICATION AND RELATIONSHIPS (INCLUDING MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES)

Demonstrates positive attitude and behaviours Ability to communicate effectively with people with complex difficulties Recognises own limitations and has willingness to share and learn from others Good interpersonal skills Proven ability to work well in a team Ability to make decisions and problem solve when dealing with routine situations Ability to organise own work and caseload Ability to work in a stressful environment and concentrate in conditions requiring emotional demands Access to transport to fulfill community rotations Current full UK driving license Disclosure and Barring Service Check

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions. Salary: £29,970 to £36,483 a year, pro rata.
